Is this diet ok for weight loss?

Oct-30-2009 By admin

Hi, I have decided to eat the following on a weight loss diet over the next few weeks. I am a vegan by the way. What do you think about this?

3/4 cup oats with 250ml soy milk= 368 calories
Juice 1/2 lemon in water= 6 calories
Medium apple = 76 calories
250g brown-rice = 472 calories
medium apple = 76 calories
250g brown-rice = 472 calories
125g punnet blueberries = 71 calories

Total = 1541 calories

Do you have any other vegan meal plans for about 1400 – 1600 calories? I also don’t eat wheat. I am 5′5.5” and weigh 160 lbs. Thanks for your help.

You need to get some fat in there even if it’s efa supplements or just oil. The protein maybe okay, but maybe add some beans along with the rice which will form a complete vegetable protein. The best range to lose weight in is 1 to 2.5 lbs a week. This will allow your body to accustom itself to the loss and the skin to regain its prestretched stage. Losing weight too quickly will cause the skin of abdomen, chest and inner thighs to sag, possibly dramatically. I don’t personally believe in any of the fad diets that keep showing up. I think that they put your body into an unhealthy famine mode which will cause you to gain the fat right back if you start to eat normally again. The best idea is to eliminate all junk food. You can do a cheat day if you need to but don’t go overboard. Eat balanced meals of reasonable size. Overeating will cause your stomach to be too large and you will still feel hungry when you’re not. Also have lots of healthy snacks during the day. Ideally you’ll want to eat 5 or 6 small meals throughout the day. Carry food with you so you aren’t tempted to eat unhealthily when you’re out of the house. And don’t buy unhealthy foods. Get foods that are low in bad fats—we do need fat to survive but not saturated fat. Minimize the processed flours and sugars, no white bread, no sugar. Choose leaner meats and protein sources. Don’t expect to eat pizza and burritos all the time and lose weight. And eat tons of vegetables. Eat salads, steamed vegetables and raw vegetables too. You can’t eat so much celery that you’ll get fat. Don’t eat too much fruit or things containing high fructose corn syrup. The reason is that fructose is hard on the liver because it can only be metabolized there. You can eat fruit during or after a workout. Don’t eat late at night because your body will turn it into fat. Eat a smaller amount of calories than needed to maintain your weight. You have burn more than you intake. Always exercise. Cardio especially, but weights are good too. Don’t give up. You’ll be glad you chose to lose the weight.

Sickness & memory loss? Help?

Oct-30-2009 By admin

For the last week I have had a flu of some sort. I thought it was a hangover but I usually resume my (anxiety) & other meds once the "icky" feeling from drinking goes away. Problem is I have huge chunks of memory missing. I was so far gone I thought my mom had taken me to the hospital but she had called 911 & followed. I was there for about 8 hours in the ER with an IV & my potassium was real low. I had been like I said before so I was able to hold little food down. Now I am skinny LOL I just wonder how long it will last. Could I have been malnourished or what? IDK WHY i didn’t resume my meds but because I didn’t I went through benzodiazepine withdrawal. Today I am finally back on them again but I lost so much weight & I am still weak. I have to take these medications but what could have caused the blocks & blurs & distortions of time, days, people, etc. I was in coherent & my mom said I didn’t make sense sometimes. I’m back on them as of today but damn no wonder I feel so weird. Not to mention scared b/c I HATE moving & my loony tunes aunt is in town. I hope I get a little help & I hope it goes fast b/c I HATE moving. How could I lose memory from being sick? The hospital even did a CT scan because I fell & hit my head during a seizure. I guess one advantage of Houston is you’re usually near a hospital unless you’re in the boonies.

it can happen in some extreme cases.

I am on the lipotrim diet but i’m thinking of using T5s to boost weight loss. Will it work?

You are already spending a fortune to eat and drink horrible concoctions which I believe include trans fatty acids in some products. I wouldn’t recommend adding T5 to the mix.

I am thinking about having weight loss surgery, and I have heard that the lap band is alot less risky then bypass. Has anyone had it done, or know anyone that has?

I can give you a couple facts on it:::

The latest statistics from the National Health Institute shows that more than 50 percent of the adult population in the United States is overweight.

Current statistics reveal that nearly 25 percent of the population is obese.

Obesity is defined as being 100 pounds over your ideal weight. The formula for defining obesity is called the Body Mass Index or BMI. To calculate your BMI go to Is Surgery Right For Me?

Using the Body Mass Index
Used to determine if you qualify for surgery
Measures obesity based on weight and height.

Obesity has many adverse effects on your medical and psychological well being.

Major psychiatric diagnoses are the same as the rest of the population
Morbidly obese have a higher incidence of:
? Low self esteem
? Depression
? Self-hatred
? Anger
Obesity can lead to premature death and is responsible for 300,000 deaths per year.

Death and Obesity
2nd leading cause of preventable death
Approximately 300,000 deaths/yr
Morbidly obese die 10 to 15 years earlier

Americans spend $100 billion dollars annually on weight related diseases and another $100 billion dollars on weight-loss products and services.

Health Risks
Severe and morbid obesity greatly increases risk of dozens of serious medical problems:
Diabetes
Hypertension
Sleep apnea
Heart disease
Vascular disease/Stroke
Immobility
Skin infections
Cancer
Gallstones
Urinary incontinence
GERD
Arthritis
Venous ulcers
Accident proneness
Depression
Joint problems
Low back pain
Infertility
DVT and thromboembolism
Asthma, etc, etc.
Morbid Obesity has adverse effects on the quality of your life as well as your health. Studies show that pre-mature death is 2 to 12 times higher in obese individuals compared to those without a weight problem.

Obese individuals often suffer from social and emotional discrimination, depression, as well as decreased energy and mobility.

Some of the additional health risks include: asthma, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, sleep apnea and infertility.

The benefits of weight loss are:

Live longer
Live happier
? Social acceptance
? Improved self esteem
? Move easier
Live healthier
? Medical problems associated with obesity tend to completely resolve or get substantially better after surgery

If you are obese, there are several key factors to keep in mind when making a decision as to managing your weight.

Bariatric surgery is the only proven long-term method of weight loss for individuals 100 or more pounds overweight
Diet, exercise and behavior modification result in only a 10 percent long-term weight loss
Patients are able to maintain their weight loss after surgery. Studies show that:
The average weight loss after gastric bypass surgery is:
? 75% of excess weight after 1-2 years
? 55-65% of excess weight after 5-10 years
The average weight loss after lap band surgery is:
? 60% average excess weight loss after 5-6 years

Actually I want to know the terms and condition and charges of VLCC regarding the weight loss treatment program and one thing keep in mind that what for men and women. U provide information in Indian currency only.

You should give this product a shot. It’s called Acai Berry and it’s new on the market, but already endorsed by people like Oprah! I just ordered a free 14-day trial from this site.. do it today! you won’t regret it!

Your body may have gotten used to its effects, and no longer responds to the drug– this is called drug tolerance.

You should check with your doctor and tell him that the drug no longer works. He/she may adjust the dose, or switch to a different drug which may be more effective.

November 21, 2004 will go down in history as the day that Hoodia Gordonii http://www.gordoniihoodia.net/hoodia-diet-review/ was discovered in America. It was on that date that CBS 60 Minutes aired a program about Hoodia Gordonii and for the first time many people were introduced to this traditional botanical. Hoodia is currently the most publicized and talked about natural weight loss supplement in America . It has been featured on CBS 60 Minutes, ABC, NBC Today, BBC, CNN, in Oprah’s “O” Magazine and in other major media.

I really need to loose ALLOT of weight. ( probably around 90 lbs.) I know that there is really no "fad diet" or "fast" way to loose weight, and keep it off, but I need to know a few tricks that can help me burn fat faster and get maxinum results out of my daily workout. Thanks!

running and swimming are the best things!

Iam trying to lose some weight by August but lately I can’t find a way how to with out being bored (Ive already got a diet). I wanted to buy a machine but iam broke,I end up sleeping when I try to exercise (Iam always sleepy), I am not sure how to dance,I can’t bike ride or anything outside. What can I do, I really need to lose weight.

Well if you like music why don’t you just get some good songs on your MP3 or something-that gets me going

I am doing some weight training for the first time. I love working out and want the best possible results. I’m seeking to become a personal trainer, do some excersise videos, and be in a few fitness magazines. Do weight loss supplements, such as hydroxycut or slimquik, really work? Are they dangerous for your body? How do they work?

Thank you kindly for answering. I appreciate you all.

theyre ripoffs… and they arent healthy for you..if you read fine print they tell you to eat right and exercise so that tells you that they dont work.. so its better just to do it the old fashioned way, eat right and exercise!
